These walk-around photos were taken in one of Flygvapenmuseum's storage facilities in 2019. They show a Scottish Aviation Sk 61 Bulldog, individual number 61030, coded F 5-30 in the markings of F 5 Ljungbyhed — the basic trainer that introduced a generation of Swedish Air Force pilots to flight from the early 1970s until the type's retirement in 2001.
The Bulldog was designed by Beagle Aircraft in Britain and developed further by Scottish Aviation after Beagle ceased trading. Sweden was the launch customer, with 58 aircraft delivered to the Air Force in 1971, followed by 20 more to the Army in 1972. In Swedish service the type was designated Sk 61 and served almost exclusively at F 5 Ljungbyhed, where it formed the first step of the military pilot training pipeline before students progressed to the Sk 60 jet trainer. The aircraft is displayed in the splinter camouflage scheme worn during most of its service life, with the distinctive orange wingtips that made it more visible in the air during training flights.
