The Agusta-Bell 204B was a medium transport helicopter, built under license in Italy from the American Bell 204. The Swedish Armed Forces acquired 28 examples from 1962 onward, split between the Air Force and Army, where it was designated Hkp 3. Beyond troop and cargo transport, it served in search-and-rescue and firefighting roles, carrying up to eight fully equipped soldiers in addition to its two-man crew and lifting up to 250 kg on its winch. Early engine trouble led to the upgraded Hkp 3B, and later a lengthened tail boom produced the Hkp 3C.

This example, Hkp 3B "93" (Fv-nr 03423), was delivered in 1962 and served at several wings over its career — F8 Barkarby, F1 Västerås, F4 Frösön and finally F16 Uppsala — where it flew in the search-and-rescue role, marked with Uppsala County's coat of arms and the "Air Rescue – Subvenimus" emblem. It's been on loan from Flygvapenmuseum to F15 Flygmuseum in Söderhamn since 2008.
