LIANGFANG's figure comes as a military character — complete with combat boots and a tanker's helmet placed to one side. I chose to build her differently, leaving the military hardware out of the picture. Much more fun that way.

The guitar is included in the kit but not the strings, and getting those taut, evenly spaced and convincingly tensioned was the biggest technical challenge of the build. I also added a binding around the sound hole and worked on getting a wood grain effect on the body. The jeans are something I'm particularly pleased with; getting denim to look right in miniature is its own little puzzle. The grass is commercial diorama material, but it ties the whole thing together nicely.
