Two builds of the same kit, representing the same type in very different Swedish colour schemes. The first is "Yellow Filip" from F4 Frösön/Östersund, 1954, in standard green and grey. The second is "Black Bertil" from F8 Barkarby, finished in bare aluminium and silver dope with striking Dayglo orange bands applied during visibility trials in 1959–1960.
The kit is Trumpeter's 2013 release — straightforward enough, but it leaves a little to be desired in terms of detail. The green build also serves as a useful cautionary tale: if you skip the gloss coat before applying decals over a matt surface, you will get silvering. Lesson noted. Airfix has since released a new-tool Vampire which is now waiting on the shelf, and I'm expecting rather more from that one.
