The Scottish Aviation Bulldog, known in Swedish service as the SK 61, was the Swedish Air Force's basic trainer from the early 1970s. Originally designed by the British Beagle Aircraft as the B.125, production was taken over by Scottish Aviation in Prestwick after Beagle went into liquidation. 78 examples were delivered to Sweden between 1971 and 1974, split between the Air Force (SK 61A/B) and the Army (Fpl 61C). Student pilots flew the SK 61 for elementary training before moving on to the SK 60 jet trainer; the type was retired from Swedish service in 2001.
